As you may know already, I’m in the process of going through the 12 week course that is The Artist’s Way. I have already send a newsletter here about my first week’s date, this post is a very short overview of my second date with myself, at the Libraty at the Docks.
Library at the Docks is part of the City of Melbourne libraries (together with the very famous State Library). It is a beautiful space, with a view on the harbour, and even on my house. Well, the building were the apartment I live in is. Same-same.
It was such a beautiful day out. The sun was shining, people were walking around the area, and I finally had some motivation to get out on a walk and explore something artsy.
The library is just awesome. It has books on books (duh!), great views, book sales, three floors, an LGBTQ+ inspired staircase, an art gallery, and a makerspace (a space where you can do embroidery, woodworking, etc).
I even ended up buying 3 books for…3 dollars!
I’d like to say that my date didn’t just end in the library.
I took the time to take some beautiful pictures of the area and the art around the area as well. Like, for example, this cow stuck in a tree:
And yes, I did think for about two years that is was a panda. Only upon taking a photo I have noticed its head!
Beautiful place! How refreshing that must be!
